Very rare, 1926 russian Hex Tula, Dragoon Era Mosin Nagant, matching serial numbers on rifle. The butt plate was force matched at one point, and bayonet serial number doesn't match, in excellent condition, arsenal refinished!
I kept this because its Uniqueness and cool factor, IMHO, as well as a hex tula in nice shape,1926 and has an eagle stamped on it.
I have sold a few crates over the years and this is the one I saved for myself because it has an Eagle stamped in the hex receiver, that I have never seen before.. When I set this to the side for myself I thought the bayonet serial number matched, well it doesnt, its wierd actually stamped really wierd a number on top, like they screwed up the serial number when arsenally refinishing it. so it can take away from value if you think about it that way, or increase the value by being unique. The stamped eagle is rare. I may have had one other one with that stamp, but I dont remember or sure. I think an attempt may have made to match serial numbers when this was arsenally refinished by someone with a belly full of vodka. Whoever stamped the eagle into the hex part of the receiver, hit it like his life depended on it. It was hit hard. Its not buggered up, I dont know what that eagle stamp means, but whoever put it there made darn sure he hit it hard enough that it would be near impossible to remove it, without really screwing up the receiver. IMHO
