This item consists of one used surplus Polish AK bakelite pistol grip, similar to one in picture. Color and shade varies, so the one you get may have more red, less red, more orange, less orange, more brown, less brown etc. Good to Very-good overall used surplus condition. These will have signs of use, nics scratches, & dings. Expect to see some scuff marks on the grip and the diamond grid pattern. These are in overall Good to Verygood condition. I grade these as grade 3 to Grade 2 overall good to verygood used condition.
I Cleaned these up with purple power cleaner degreaser I put in a spray bottle. a basic cleaning, not a restoration project. Then I wiped it down with a rag soaked in CLP. The CLP brings out the luster of the marbling in the bakelite. Please wipe off the excess CLP.
the cleaning is a basic cleaning. Its a basic cleaning, not a detailed restoration cleaning.
Color and shade varies. color and shade in pictures will/can vary from one you receive. All bakelite grips are different, none the same. The one you receive may look similar to one in picture, may be darker, lighter, have more marbling, more red, more orange, ect.
The one you get may not look as good as you think the one in pictture does, it might look better. It surplus. Not an exact science. These are used in good to verygood condition, so there wil be scuff marks and grime in the scuff marks. the cleaning I did isnt a full restoration removing every single sec of grease, grime, Gun powder residue. Some of these are more on the solid color side like more red or more orange. I sort these into 3 piles when I get them. 1. is the ornagish red, redish orange, 2. is brownish, browish red, redish brown, and 3, darker colored.
*** Bakelite identification. I am pretty sure if the diamond
pattern faces inside and grip is narrow style its Romanian, and if
diamond pattern faces outside and grip is wider its Polish.** Not a 100%
guaranty, but I think its correct.
Sold as is, no refunds returns or exchanges.
The color on these tend to be orangish red, or redish orange, see pictures. Every bakelite grip has its own unique pattern and bakelite varies in color and shade, it seems from batch to batch.
*** Please note, the bakelite pattern varies on these, and each one has its own unique pattern. Some are a bit more solid, some have more of a marbled type pattern.*** If you want the best looking ones that I see out of 5, then you need to select the hand picked option..
