Pretty cool to have a bayonet for a CETME or C308.
This bayonet is designed to fit the CETME flash hider, which, apparently is 7/8" diameter, because that is the ID of the bayonet's mounting ring. I wanted to keep the Century Arms muzzle brake that came on my C308, which is 3/4" OD, however. I found that Home Depot carries a bronze flange bearing (bushing) that is 3/4" ID (a slip fit on the C308 muzzle brake) and 7/8" OD (a push fit in the CETME bayonet: probably needs glue or stud lock). Their SKU # is 653691. It's currently $5.27 ( a bit more than Lee will currently sell you a CETME flash hider for). There is enough material to make two bayonet bushings, and it works like gangbusters!
So, if you want to keep your C308 muzzle brake, and you also want this cool bayonet, this bushing is a quick, easy, and, actually, a good-looking solution that fits perfectly.
(The description says this bushing is oil-impregnated, which could possibly cause goo problems if you actually fire more than a round or two with the bayonet attached.)
